Pizza cartwheels; something to snack on that is ready to eat in 30 minutes.
You will need
- Puff Pastry (get the ready rolled)
- Cheese (I used cheddar) grated amount depends on taste.
- Tomato passata about 125g
- Garlic (about 2 cloves minced)
Heat some oil in a pan, add some dry italian herbs and chilli flakes if you want a hit of spice.
Add the garlic and cook until translucent. Add tomato passata, and salt and pepper to taste. Let this reduce into a thick paste. It should only take about 3-5 minutes. Cool the mixture.
If you need to cool it in a hurry, put the mixture in a bowl and leave it in the freezer for 3-5 minutes.
Pre-heat the oven 170 degrees.
Unroll the pastry
Spread the cooled sauce all over the pastry evenly. Sprinkle cheese over the sauce.
(If you eat meat why not also add some shredded chicken or pepperoni) Re-roll the pastry tightly.
Cut slices. About 1.5cm thick.
Place on a baking tray. Cook for 10 minutes.
Remove and turn them over and cook for an additional 5 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
