So, we all like healthy food…. but once in a while…. I have the need for fried food.
This is one that I enjoy making and eating. If you love onions, this is one… you have to try.
You will need;
- Gram flour
- Garlic powder
- Chilli powder
Slice the onions and then sprinkle salt on them, give them a little mix and let them sit.
Take a bowl and add all the dry ingredients, spices can be added to taste.
One cup of gram flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper and chilli powder.
Heat oil in a deep pan, ready to deep fry!
The onions should sweat, this will allow the powder to stick to them. Take another bowl, add in some of the flavoured gram flour and add a hand full of onions, give them a mix so they are all coated with the flour. Drop them into hot oil and allow to go golden brown. Remove from the oil, onto a piece of kitchen roll. This allows the excess oil to soak up. This individual onion spice coated goodness, is great for your tastebuds.
